CLIFTON SPRINGS:  Darling, Vivian J. “Viv”: died on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the age of 83. Family and friends are invited to call from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, February 4 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 West Main Street, Palmyra. A funeral service will follow calling hours at 1pm. Spring burial will be in Chapman Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Viv may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.

    Vivian was born on February 26, 1933 in Utica, New York the daughter of Harold and Erma Lang Cook. She loved music and sang with the Finger Lakes Choral and St. John’s Choir. Viv loved children and was a strong advocate for children and women throughout her life and career with Child Protective Services of Ontario County.

      Viv is survived by her husband Donald; sons Mark (Georgia), Dale (Anina) and Scott (Deborah) Darling; sister Mary Young; brother Richard Cook and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
