13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

Rest in peace my friend.

Uncle Don and family, i'm sorry for your loss and that I cannot be there. Aunt Viv was a sweet lady. Please take comfort in knowing she's in good hands.
Love to all,
Mary

Although I only met Viv a few times, it was obvious she was a sweet , kind lady and so wonderful to her grandchildren. My condolence to the family. May she rest peacefully .

Don and Viv played a major role in my life as stand in parents throughout my adolescence and young adult years. As I sit here the memories flood back of the many trips to the lake with us and as many neighborhood kids as she could fit into the station wagon, many times with a stop at the new Mcdonalds in Canandaigua where we could either a hamburger or a french fry :) . My earliest memory was the picnic hike she took us on which seemed to be at least 10 miles and finally arriving at the secluded and unknown woods location where we then broke out and devoured our peanut butter sandwich to gather enough energy to make the trip back home. (As I got older I found out it was really only about 300 yards behind the house in the little woods just behind Howie's.)
My last few memories were visits to the nursing home last year when I was in town from Florida. Each time I walked in she knew exactly who I was and when it was time to go each time with a big smile thanked me so much for stopping by to see her.
She was one of the kindest women I have every know and I am so thankful for her faith in God and knowing that because of her faith, we will be together again some day in the future. I love you Viv. Dan
