Tom was born on July 18, 1941 in Watertown, NY the son of Howard and Emma Butler Traynor. His idyllic childhood revolved around the water often venturing further than he should with his small rowboat. Tom’s formative years included working in the family restaurant where he learned about business but just as importantly developed social and professional skills that would serve him well in his career. After graduating from Clarkson University in 1963 Tom enjoyed a successful career and would excel in his executive placement agency, Traynor Confidential based in Rochester, NY. Tom earned 2 Distinguished Toastmaster International awards, mentored members in their speaking and leadership skills, including an inmate Toastmasters Club inside the Fort Madison Iowa State Penitentiary. Tom was quite an adventurer and had a passion for boating, downhill skiing and Syracuse Men’s Basketball. Having grown up on the water, it was only natural that Tom and Cindy would end up living on their houseboat when not at home in Arizona.
Tom is predeceased by his parents Howard and Emma and a sister Janice St. Croix. He is survived by his wife Lucinda “Cindy” Harding Traynor; daughter Kristin (Bob) Wonders; son Scott Thomas Traynor and grandson Donavan Wonders.
