PALMYRA: Warner Sr., Stuart H., died on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the age of 91. Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7pm on Sunday, November 16 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 West Main Street, Palmyra where a funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, November 17. Burial with military honors will follow in Palmyra Cemetery. Stu was born on April 7, 1923 in Clifton Springs, New York to Henry and Lena DeRue Warner. He retired from Garlock after 43 years of service. Mr. Warner was a member of the Garlock Old Timers and Garlock Antiquity Group, The Palmyra Lodge F&A Masons and the Order of the Eastern Star. He was active with Palmyra Senior Citizens and enjoyed getting together with the Newark High School Graduate Group. Stu was a member of Palmyra VFW Post 6778 and the James R. Hickey American Legion Post 120. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Army flag in honor of Stu's service to our country during WWII.

Mr. Warner was predeceased by his wife Edna. He is survived by his daughter Patricia (Paul) Goodness; son Stuart (Linda) Warner Jr.; grandchildren Hilary (James) McDonald, Nathan (Lea) Goodness, Shelley (Kurt) Ackerman and CPO USN Logan Warner; great-grandchildren Danielle and Rachel McDonald, Paul, Ian and Taryn Goodness and Keaton Ackerman; niece Mary Warner; special friend Katherine Bunce; Maple Ave. neighbors and the West Walworth Welker clan.
