Ontario: Cooper, Roger H.; died on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the age of 78. Please join the family for Roger’s memorial service and military honors at 7pm on Thursday, December 12 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St., Palmyra. In lieu of flowers please consider memorials to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York NY 10016. Roger was born on June 19, 1941 in Naples, NY the son of Roy and Lillian Emmons Cooper. Roger made military life his career. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Army flag in honor of his service to our country which included three tours in Viet Nam as well as service in Okinawa, Korea and Germany. Roger retired from the army having achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a life member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars at his former home in Idaho. Roger loved the outdoors and was a gifted woodworker and clock maker. He enjoyed Bluegrass music. When you could get Roger to sit still he could be found watching the old western movies. Roger is predeceased by his wife Eleanor and brother Jim. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Scott) Farver Jr.; son Roy Winter; step-children John and Anna; sisters Janet and Joyce; brothers David and Gene; grandchildren Johnny, Kaitlyn, Emily, Hailley, Paige, Nicole and Jennifer; great-grandchildren Nina, Mike and Rayden; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
