PALMYRA: Mayo, Richard R., died on Monday, January, 26, 2015 at the age of 69. Family and friends are invited to call from 6-8pm on Friday, January 30 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc. 123 West Main Street, Palmyra where a funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday,January 31. Dick was born on May 26, 1945 in Seneca Falls, NY the son of Albert and Clara Travis Mayo. He was retiree of Schlegal Systems in Rochester. Dick served in the United States Army for 42 years. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Army flag in honor of his service to our country in the Vietnam War. A master mechanic, great carpenter and skilled electrician, Dick enjoyed hunting and fishing as well cooking and especially baking and was an avid coin collector. He was a wonderful husband and the love of Maureen's life for 32 years.

Dick was predeceased by his parents; step-daughter Angela Davis and brothers Albert and James Mayo. He is survived by his wife Maureen; son Richard (Megan) Mayo Jr.; stepsons Sean and Philip Davis; siblings Lillian Guererri, Christine Sweaton, Gilbert, Lester and David Mayo; grandchildren Temperance and Aryah and many nieces and nephews.
