Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St., Palmyra.  Mel is survived by his daughter Sonya (Chris) Johnson; son Nathan; brother Gerald W. Gay; grandchildren Quinn Gay and Amber Johnson; former wife and good friend Hope Peters; sister-in-law Lorraine Gay; nephews Kevin and Geoff Gay and his beloved dog Bozo.
