PALMYRA: Curran, Marie C., died on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the age of 89. Committal prayers will be offered at 9:30am on Saturday, September 3 in Palmyra Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Sept. 3 at Western Presbyterian Church of Palmyra followed by a reception in fellowship hall.      Marie was born on June 16, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Herbert and Martha Steinke Tudahl. She was a member and elder of Western Presbyterian Church where she had been very active with the Social Concerns Committee, Circle 4, Habitat for Humanity and Deacons Committee. Marie was involved with Canaltown Days. Palmyra Women’s Civic Club and the “Stitchers Group.” She was a member of Palmyra Kings Daughters and the James R. Hickey Post 120 American Legion Auxiliary.

     Marie was predeceased by her husband Donald Curran and sister Leona Pence. She is survived by her daughters Gloria (Ken) Wales and Donna (James) Crouse; son James (Marcia) Watters; grandchildren Derek (Sara) Lynch, Sarah (Dan) Cole, Michelle (Nick) Day, Amy (Jon) Williams, Jessica (Rob) Young and Ryan (Rachelle Drexler) Crouse, nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and also granddaughters Teresa Bebout and Bonnie Pestle.
