PORT GIBSON/PALMYRA: Mead, Linda Meaney, 48, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 after a long illness. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 1pm on Saturday, June 20 at the Fellowship Baptist Church (formerly Palmyra First Baptist). Private internment will be in Port Gibson Cemetery. Linda was born on March 27, 1967 in Schenectady, New York the daughter of Peter and Arlene Pink Meaney. She grew up in Tully, NY. Linda and David Mead were married on April 11, 1992 in Lafeyette, NY. Lin was a member of the Towpath Volunteers Fife and Drum Corp and was the co-founder of the Logo Factory in Palmyra and co-owner of Whisper Chocolates in Geneva. Linda home schooled her daughters and was active in the local home schooling community including the Home School Co-Op and drama classes as well as co-managing H.I.S. Soccer for several years and H.I.S. Track & Field.
Predeceased by her father Peter Meaney, Linda is survived by her husband David Mead; daughters Jasmine and Eliza Mead; mother Arlene Meaney; sister Rae Ann Morgan and brothers Jim and Pete Meaney.
