PALMYRA: Skeels, Lester F., died on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the age of 88. Family and friends are invited to call from 5-8pm on Friday, Feb. 19 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St., Palmyra where a funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday. Burial with military honors will follow in Palmyra Cemetery. Les was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Palmyra VFW and the James R. Hickey American Legion Post 120. Les was very thankful for his opportunity to visit the WWII memorial as an Honor Flight participant. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Army flag in honor of his service to our country.

Mr. Skeels was predeceased by his wife Lieselotte and sister Eleanor Vanderlinder. He is survived by his daughter Rose (Bob) Weber; son David (Tina) Skeels; brothers Gordon and Dean Skeels; grandchildren Laurie VanScott, Kristin (Bryan) Seaquist, Alex Skeels and Andrew Skeels; great-grandchildren Christopher and Skye Wallace and Tatum and Arden Seaquist.
