PALMYRA: Jacobs, Judith Ellen Snyder Mayou of Palmyra, NY peacefully passed away on Sept. 25, 2009 at age 63 after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born on July 10, 1946 in Clifton Springs, NY and lived in Geneva and Palmyra. She graduated from Palmyra-Macedon High School and was an active member of the Zion Episcopal Church of Palmyra. Judy was also a devoted daughter, mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend. Judy was predeceased by her father Lawrence Snyder. Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Rosalie L. Snyder, her husband Merwin R. Jacobs, her four children, Jean (Mark) Ohme, James (Stacy) Mayou, John (Theresa) Mayou and Robert Jacobs and her seven grandchildren. Judy is also survived by her sister Mary (John) Braun, her five brothers Lawrence (Judy), John (Karen), James (Sandy), Thomas (Anne) and Joseph (Jeannie), and several cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends from 11am-1pm on Saturday, October 17th at Zion Episcopal Church in Palmyra. A funeral mass will follow visitation at 1pm.
