NEWARK/PALMYRA; Tournois, John Jacob, died on Monday, May 4, 2009 at the age of 96. Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4pm on Thursday, May 7th at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 West Main Street, Palmyra. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10am on Friday, May 8th in St. Anne's Cemetery in Palmyra. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Army flag in honor of John's service to our country during WWII. John is survived by his wife of 43 years Estella; son Peter (Kim) Tournois; daughters Tammy Kennedy and Roberta (Charles) Van Horn; grandchildren Zachary, Jessica, Tabitha, Rodney Jr., Joseph and Rebeccalynn; great-grandchildren Emily, Brooke, Zachary, Alex, Alfedo, Leonardo, Trent, Dominik, Kevin Jr., Reace, Desirea, Brittany, Jacquline, Jarmine, Karli and Payton; mother-in-law Lillian Higbee; nephew Richard (Marilyn) Guck and many other special friends.
