PALMYRA: Contant, Helen G., died on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the age of 96. Please join the family for a graveside service on Friday, January 30, at 11am in Palmyra Cemetery. Helen was born on November 24, 1918 in Palmyra the daughter of Earl and Mary Lookup Geer. She had worked for many years as a legal secretary. Helen was a founding member of Historic Palmyra, a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a proud member of the Palmyra Republican Committee. An avid cook, she also enjoyed flower gardening and spending time at the family cottage.

Mrs. Contant is predeceased by her husband George W. Contant; sister Dorothy White and brothers Earl and Frank Geer. She is survived by her daughter Catherine (Adrienne McLark) Contant; son George “Bill” (Katrinka Marie) Contant; grandchildren Aaron W. (Alexandra) Contant, Krystin M. (Cpt. Matt) Piston and Jonathan D. (Heather) Contant and special friends Josie Naeye and Helen Ford.
