PALMYRA: Cunningham, Harold G., 76, died on Sun., Sept. 13, 2009. Private graveside services will be in East Newark Cemetery. Harold was born on January 1, 1933 in Palmyra, NY to Glenn and Edna Philley Cunningham. He was a graduate of Palmyra High School and a veteran of the United States Army. Harold and the former Thelma Jacob were married on Oct. 18, 1958 in Newark, NY. Harold was a member of the Newark Elks Lodge, the Buckhorn Hunting Lodge and a life member of the VFW Post #2883 in Newark and the American Legion Post #120 in Palmyra. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Army Flag in honor of Harold's service to our country. Mr. Cunningham is survived by his wife of 50 years Thelma; his children Susan(Mark) Clark, Karen Cunningham, Lynn (Steve) Mayo and Richard Alan (Ruth) Cunningham; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister Naomi McMahon and a nephew Dave Nichols. He was predeceased buy his sister Irene Nichols and brother Lloyd Cunningham.
