PALMYRA: Milligan Jr., George R. “Bob”, died on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the age of 91. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 7pm on Friday September 11 at the Calvary Chapel of the Finger Lakes, 1777 Rochester Rd. Farmington, NY 14425. Private intement with military honors will be in Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider memorials to Calvary Chapel. Bob was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a faithful member of his church and derived great pleasure from working in the church book store. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post in Newark. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Army flag in honor of his service to our country during WWII. Bob was a B17 pilot with the 384^th Bombing Group and completed 35 missions in the European Theater. Bob was predeceased by his wife Jan; his sister Beverly Wilkinson and a grandson. He is survived by his children Terry(Ellen)Milligan, Jacqui(Stephen)Chew, Lorri Milligan, Steven(Kay)Milligan and Becky(Kevin)Giggey; sister Shirley(Gene)Bassage; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews as well as his church family whom have been such wonderful support.
