MACEDON/ CHESTER, SC: Guthrie, Florence Irene Venema, age 71, of Chester, formerly of Macedon, NY passed away after a sudden illness on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Chester Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Gary Alan Guthrie and the daughter of the late Hendrick and Irene Austin Venema.

Ms. Guthrie was born in Rochester, New York on September 22, 1944. She is survived by her children Paul Alan Guthrie and his wife Wendy of Bristol, Tennessee and Karen Guthrie-Cordaro and her husband James of Macedon, New York; one brother, John Venema and his wife Dorothy of Shortsville, New York; her companion, Mr. James Propson of Chester; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jakob, Krischin, Kamron and Aylisa; and two great grandchildren.

Ms. Guthrie was a Baptist and she enjoyed taking care of her pets, reading, and knitting.

A graveside service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, October 21 at Macedon Center Cemetery.
