Eugene W. Bucknam

PALMYRA: Bucknam, Eugene W., died on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the age of 91. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, January 30 at Western Presbyterian Church of Palmyra.  A reception will follow in fellowship hall.      Gene was born on October 29, 1926 in Perry, NY the son of Lawrence and Hazel Lee Bucknam. He was the owner of Bucknam Pontiac in Palmyra and was a charter member of the Palmyra-Macedon Lions Club. Gene volunteered for many years with Meals-On-Wheels. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Army flag in honor of Mr. Bucknam’s service to our country.

     Gene is survived by his wife Barbara; daughters Sue (Bob) Pringle, Janet (Paul) Manktelow, Ann (Steve) Sambroski and Nancy Hovermale; sister Lorraine Bartholomew; brother Calvin Bucknam; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
