PALMYRA: Buck, Dorothy M. (Meyer); 86, May 20, 2015. Predeceased by parents, Charles and Dorothy (Kronke) Meyer and brother, Roger Meyer. Loving wife of the late David M. Buck. Dottie passed away of complications from late-stage Parkinson’s Disease. She is survived by her sister, Lois (Henry) Brown; daughters, Laurie (Steve) Ellis, Leslie (Scott) Holzschuh and Nancy (James R., deceased) DeWitt; eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Dottie was born and raised on Long Island. She graduated from Oceanside High School in 1946 and Berkley Secretarial School in NYC. Prior to having children, she worked as an executive secretary in NYC. Dottie was an amazing homemaker, wife and mother. Dottie and David moved their family to the upstate area in 1969. Dottie was an accomplished seamstress and also enjoyed knitting. She was active in church life wherever she lived. She easily made friends in the many places she, David and family lived, including, Buffalo, Erie, Oriskany, Baldwin, Whitney Point, Owego and Palmyra.

Calling hours will be held at Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St., Palmyra on Tues., May 26 from 10am to 12pm. A funeral service will be held that afternoon at 1:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Palmyra Cemetery.
