PALMYRA: Lich, Derrick E.; died on Friday, December 6, 2024 surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 14 at the Western Presbyterian Church of Palmyra. A reception will follow the service in the church Fellowship Hall.      Derrick was born on October 1, 1977 in Norfolk, Nebraska the son of Terry D. and Darlene Groteluschen Lich. He worked as a project engineer for Costich Engineering in Rochester, NY. Derrick and the former Julie Alessi were married on June 1, 2002 in Canandaigua, NY. Derrick had a passion for Pal-Mac Lacrosse and Nebraska Football. He enjoyed building things and exploring craft breweries. His greatest joy was his wife, sons and family.

     Derrick is survived by his wife Julie Lich; sons Riley, Peyton and Carson Lich; father Terry Lich; mother Darlene Groteluschen Lich; sister Angela Svoboda; brothers Brian Lich, Curtis Lich and Chris Lich; mother-in-law Nancy (Tom) McGrath; father-in-law Tom Alessi; brother-in-law Mike (Jen) Alessi; several nieces and nephews and many friends including the Maple Avenue Crew.

   In honor of Derrick, Please wear Pal-Mac Red or casual clothes to the service.
