Bud was born on February 25, 1928 in Greenwood, NY the son of Elmer and Laura Wright Smith. He was a musician and played at many area venues. Bud was a member of the F&A Masonic Lodge and the Palmyra Moose Lodge. He enjoyed puttering around and loved family trips to Thousand Islands.

Bud is survied by his wife of 67 years Virginia; Daughters Adora Elaine (Ernie) Boyer and Nancy (Earl) Paige; grandchildren Brandi Pisano, Joseph Boyer, Kyle Richardson and Ashlley Fustaino; brother-in-law Douglas Brisbane; best friends Jack Luddy and Pat DeWispelaere and his special little companion Trixie. He was predeceased by his son Clement “Skippy” D. Smith Jr.; sister Edna Pellow and brother Alfred Smith.
