Carol Ann Prestofilipo passed away peacefully, July 11, 2025 at the House of John, with her family by her side.

     Carol was born March 9, 1950 in Warsaw, NY the daughter of the late Douglas and Mabel (Buchinger) Maracle. She was retired from the Ontario County Sherriff’s Department in Canandaigua, where she worked in the Civil Office. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, needlework and baking for her friends and family. She also enjoyed going to lunch with her friends and going out for ice cream. Carol is survived by her husband Samuel, daughter Tiffani Gottschall (Jonathan), son Anthony Prestofilipo, granddaughters Abigail and Annabel Gottschall, siblings Robert Maracle and Connie Johnston, and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Mabel Maracle, brother Lyle Maracle, sisters Thelma Whipple and Robin Schafner.  Donations can be made to the House of John, 14 Spring Street, Clifton Springs, NY 14432.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of her life may be held at a later date to be announced.
