East Palmyra/Port Gibson: On January 17th, 2026 Betty Lou Yost (84 years young) left this earth to join her husband Roger after a short illness. Please join the family for prayers of committal at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 25 at the Port Gibson Cemetery. A gathering to celebrate Betty’s life will be held following the committal from 2-4pm at the Port Gibson Fire Hall. Betty was born on February 21, 1941 the daughter of James and Virginia King Rahm Sr. She was a hairdresser by trade and an amateur photographer. Betty loved gardening, playing euchre with friends and family and most of all loved her family and friends.
Betty is predeceased by her parents James and Virginia Rahm; husband Roger A. Yost Sr.; infant daughter Kellie Lee Yost; son Roger A. Yost Jr.; sister Sally Rankl, brothers John Rahm and James Rahm Jr.; niece Tonya Shelters. She is survived by her son Jeffrey J. Yost; sister Judy Hagar; daughters-in-law Annette Yost, Tracy Murphy and Deb Blondell; grandchildren Ciera Lanschoot, Ashley Yost, Josh Yost and Ramsey Yost; great-grandchildren Piper, Larken, Jesee, Jayce, Jekob, Jaeda, Makynlie and Maveryck and several in-laws nieces, nephews and many friends.
