PALMYRA: Gard, Betty L. died on Thursday March 24, 2016 at the age of 89. Family and friends are invited to call from 3-4pm on Sunday, April 10 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St., Palmyra where a memorial service will follow calling at 4pm. Burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester.

Betty grew up in Lyons, NY and was a 1944 graduate of Lyons High School. She had been an executive secretary at General Dynamics and Vanderlinde Electric. Betty loved gardening, reading, knitting and her cat “Kitty”.

Betty was predeceased by her husband Carl; her mother Lillian Darrin Milliken; father Francis Milliken; brothers and sisters-in-law Frank and Nina, Kenny and Doris; sisters and brothers-in-law Lylia (Bob) Smith and Susan (William) Milliken; sister-in-law Sue Milliken. She is survived by her brother Jack Milliken; special nephews Jack and Darrin Milliken; Great-nephew Jackson; other special nieces and nephews Joan (Mike) Carey, Gail (John) Gefell and Peter as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins and dear friends Pat Jeffers and Betty DiSanto.
