PALMYRA: Anna Mae Vanderwege, 93, passed away late Friday evening, September 26, 2014 at Newark Manor Nursing Home. Friends and family are invited to call, Wednesday, October 1 and Thursday October 2 from 7 – 8:30 PM at Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, 123 West Main Street, Palmyra. A funeral service will be Friday Morning, October 3 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Palmyra Cemetery. Anna Mae’s family request memorial contributions be directed to the Palmyra Reform Church, P.O. Box 323, Palmyra, NY 14522-0323. Anna Mae was born June 11, 1921 in Rochester the daughter of the late, Peter and Mayme EmmuelKamp - DeBrown. She was a graduate of Palmyra High School and worked, until her retirement in 1986 as a bookkeeper at Garlock’s in Palmyra. She belonged to the woman’s group at the Palmyra Reform Church and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Sandra Wing) of Macedon and Ronald (Sharon) Vanderwege of Palmyra; grandsons, Michael, Steven, Jeff and Doug Vanderwege; seven great grandchildren. Anna Mae is preceded in death by her husband Marvin.
