PALMYRA/WEBSTER: Unterborn, Alfred D., died on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Newark Wayne Hospital at the age of 81. A memorial service is being planned for a future date. Contributions in memory of Alfred may be directed to Palmyra Fire Dept.-Ambulance, PO Box 33, 607 E Main Street, Palmyra NY 14522. Alfred was born on March 7, 1928 in Rochester, New York to Frederick W. and Mildred Doering Unterborn. He and the former Pauline Knapp were married on June 4th, 1949 at St. Anne's Church in Rochester. Alfred was a retiree of Gleason Works in Rochester and a member of the Gleason Works Elder Statesmen Club and the Flower City Jazz Society. Mr. Unterborn was predeceased by his wife Pauline in 2007; son Martin in 1991 and brother Ralph. He is survived by his sons William (Irene) Unterborn of Palmyra and Eric (Bobbie) Unterborn of Maine; grandson Jeremy Unterborn and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Arrangements have been entrusted to Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc.

A memorial service for Alfred will be held at 9am on Friday, September 11th at Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St., Palmyra.
