Newark: Lasken, Ada N.; died on Friday, August 13, 2021at the age of 89. Please join the family for a mass of Christian burial at 10am on Saturday, August 21 at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church in LYONS. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Warfield’s Restaurant in Clifton Springs. Please consider memorials to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Ada was born on February 5, 1932 in Rochester, NY the daughter of Massimo and Francesca Mariani DeSanctis. She was a member of St. Michaels Church and had worked in the church rectory. Family was everything to Ada and she thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren who brought her much joy and love. She felt very blessed to have much of her family close by. Ada is predeceased by her son Steven MacBride; sister Katherine Manno and brother Louis DeSanctis. She is survived by her husband Lynn Lasken; son David (Laurie) MacBride; step-son James Lasken; brothers Anthony DeSanctis and Albert (Rose Marie) DeSanctis; grandchildren Sara MacBride, Kristin (Titus) MacBride, Rachel MacBride and Greg (Elizabeth) MacBride; step-granddaughter Evey Lasken; great-grandchildren Mikaela, Kayden and Dominic and many wonderful friends.
