Shirley was a member of Western Presbyterian Church of Palmyra. She had been a girl scout leader for many years and enjoyed attending rotary meetings and functions with Gene. Shirley is survived by her husband of 71 years, Gene R. Bassage; daughters Sue Bassage and Jill Bassage; grandchildren Christine (Paul) Seymour and Lisa (Anthony) Hollebrandt; great-grandchildren Jillian and Addison Hollebrandt and many very special friends. She was predeceased by her parents George R. “Bob” and Elva Smith Milligan; sister Beverly Wilkinson and brother Bob Milligan Jr.
