Ruth A. Wilbur

PALMYRA: Wilbur, Ruth A., died on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the age of 85. Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 3pm on Saturday, February. 3 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 West Main Street, Palmyra. A brief prayer service will follow calling at 3pm. Private burial will be in Palmyra Cemetery. Please respect Ruth’s wish that there be no flowers.

      Ruth retired from Marine Midland Bank after 35 years of service. She and her husband Roger owned the Palmyra Hardware Store for many years. Ruth was loved by all her neighbors and her “adopted” grandchildren on Hansen and Liberty Streets.

     Predeceased by her parents Fred and Viola May Payne; husband Roger H. Wilbur; sisters Wilda Payne, Winifred Trowbridge and Eleanor Winburn and brothers Olan and Clifford Payne. She is survived by her son Timothy (Nancey) Wilbur; brother-in-law Roy Trowbridge; sisters-in-law Helen Payne and Antoinette Wilbur; several nieces and nephews and many good friends and neighbors.
