Joseph S. Acquilano, Sr.

"Uncle Joe"

Macedon: Joe Acquilano, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the age of 78. Joe was born on September 3, 1938 in Geneva, the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Cosentino). Joe attended Geneva High School and proudly served our country in the US Navy during the Korean War.

He was a proud pipe fitter for Local Union #13 out of Rochester active in the Union for 55 years.  He built many homes in the Macedon area, when not working Joe enjoyed hunting, winters in Florida, and spending time with his family.

Joe is preceded in death by his brothers, Sam, Dominick and Joseph. He is survived by his daughter, Dorene Acquilano; his sons, Joseph Jr. (Jean) and Michael Acquilano; grandchildren, Nicholas, Lauryn, Casey, Matthew (Shannon), Mikey (Jess), Marissa, Brittany and Marty; a great grandson, Axel; his sister Mary Jane Duskie; his brother, Anthony "Sonny" Acquilano; many, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be Thursday, April 6 from 4 - 7 PM at Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, 123 W. Main Street, Palmyra. A Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 7 at 10:00 AM in Saint Francis DeSales Church, Geneva. Entombment will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Geneva, with full Military Honors.
