Born and raised in Palmyra, I knew Fred my whole life. He was always polite and a gentleman all the way. Condolences to all the family.

My fondest memories of Fred are the breakfasts with the gang at the Lunch-In. He had a distinct voice and a great sense of humor. I can also remember watching him playing high school football at the fairgrounds in Palmyra. He always reminded me of Spencer Tracey of the movies. So sad to see so many friends pass away. My sincere condolences to Fred's family. May you rest in peace, Fred.

I will always remember the twinkle in your father’s eyes and his little smile as he would enlighten me on the joys of being an “Alderman.”

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

My sincere sympathy to all of Fred's family. His was truly a life well lived. We have many fond memories of working with Betty and Fred on early Canal Town Day committees and at many social events. They gave so much to the community
they loved.
Requiescat in Pacem, Fred.

Fred was a very special friend to me when I was with the church. I think of him often. I could sit for hours and listen to his stories of Korea. I cherish every minute I spent with him. His stories and memories will remain dear to my heart.

Our place on earth has surrendered a dedicated mentor, soldier, and friend to the heavens above. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss, and may God be granting your family strength in this difficult time. Fred will be greatly missed, but take comfort that he is now watching over us in a better place, and will be waiting for us when we meet again in Heaven.

Thank you Mr. Alderman. ONCE AN EAGLE, ALWAYS AN EAGLE.
