MACEDON: Schwind, Carl F.; died on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the age of 92. Please join the family for a memorial service at 10:30am on Saturday, November 25 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 West Main Street, Palmyra. Private burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Penfield.      Carl was born on January1, 1925 in Shifferstadt, Germany the son of Balthasar and Cecelia Denhart Schwind. A man who loved his family, Carl was known as “Mr. Fix It” for his ability to repair what is broke or invent a new way to make it work. Carl enjoyed working on his house and was known to do so well into his later years at his own peril and against the wishes of his wife Shirley. Music was important to Carl and he was an accomplished accordion player. Along with Shirley, Carl enjoyed dancing and traveling.

   Mr. Schwind is survived by his son David (Christine) Schwind; daughters Susan (Todd) Morren, Kathy (Robert) Barr and Melanie (Jim) Deese; sister-in-law Dolores Welkley; 8 grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley and brother Leo Schwind.
